Buy an expensive gift and the kid prefers to play with the box

You have heard that statement before. Sometimes you buy someone a pricey present and then you watch as the kid prefers playing with the bubble wrap packing or the box itself. The box can provide hours of fun when windows are cut out and the box is transformed into an imaginary house…
The moral of the story here – You don’t need to spend a lot to give a meaningful gift!
I try not to spend too much on gifts but I do I try to pay attention to the child’s tastes and interests. If the kid is wearing a Batman shirt every day, I try to find an item that is a little less popular (so as to be sure the child doesn’t already own the item) with the Batman logo on it. Or I may try to personalize the gift with the child’s name as a decorative label or choose a gift in the child’s favorite colors.
If you are still stuck with deciding on the right gift, then heck just choose the most inexpensive gift that you can find in the largest box!
