Whether you are at Churchill Downs in person or just watching the race at a party this weekend, you can still celebrate in style by grabbing your big fancy hat and sipping the traditional Derby drink of a . The recipe is easy enough. A traditional contains mint, sugar, lots of crushed ice, and Kentucky bourbon, served in silver julep cups. The whole family, including the kids, can enjoy this classic beverage by substituting ginger ale, lemon juice, iced tea or lemonade for the bourbon.
