Retro Inspired Birthday Party Ideas
Ice cream parlors, rollerskates, classic cars, and a simple birthday cake – all symbols of a retro birthday party. Choose a classic kids activity like bowling or circus fun as your theme.
For decor, print out old school pictures and display them as centerpieces at the tables or on the walls. Burn the edges a bit to give an even more vintage look. Include obsolete items such as a record player or even a Sony Walkman.
For party favors, use classic toys and trinkets to create an elegant and charming party. We love the classic honeybee bear bottles filled with candy necklaces and topped with colorful party hats by Jennifer Hayslip. Toys that have withstood the test of time are great – a rubiks cube for example.
There are so many creative and fantastic ideas for throwing a retro birthday party. These tips are also great for a wedding anniversary, Sweet Sixteen or other milestone birthday parties.
