DIY Cinco de Mayo Maracas

For your festive Cinco de Mayo celebration, the kids can create their own maracas very easily.
What you need
The supplies are not hard to find – a toilet paper roll, tin foil, brightly colored sturdy tape, and rice. You can also use a plastic cup for the cannister and use popcorn kernels or beans instead of rice.
What to do
Ccover all but one end of the toilet paper roll in tin foil. Place rice inside the tube and then cover the other end. Wrap colored tape around the roll near the ends to make sure the rice won’t come out. Further decorate by gluing bright colored shapes of paper onto the maracas.
Time to shake your maracas!
